1960’s display home – as it was 46 yrs ago
This looks like images of a house in the 1960’s however in fact it is a house on the market in Adelaide today.
Built by Caj Amadio as a display home in 1968, the home has largely remained unchanged since this time.
The current owner David Evans, now 95 years of age, is reluctantly selling as he is moving into a retirement village.
Mr Evans’ daughter Pam Portolesi said her parents “grew up during the Depression and basically whatever wasn’t broken they didn’t see the need to fix, which is why the house was left the way they bought it.”
This house (857 North East Road, Dernancourt) is for sale through Toop & Toop real estate. More details about the features of this lovely home including: built in bar and telephone stand, sunken lounge, stacked stone fireplace and parquetry flooring can be found here.
