Creative co-working spaces

Inspired by a recent video I saw from Frankie Magazine regarding the latest edition of their book Spaces I wanted to share with you some creative working spaces.

More creative types are turning on to this trend. Working from home has its advantages (i.e. wearing what you want, starting when you want etc) however creative hubs and co-working spaces also offer the opportunity to meet, network and share ideas with like-minded creative people.

Old warehouses, converted churches and places filled with vintage furniture lend to more inspiring ideas than standard grey office partitions if you ask me too.

I strongly recommend you check out this video about the book Spaces here.

I’ve included below just a selection of creative spaces, more can be found on www.creativespaces.net.au.

Creativespaces.net.au is a government-run website where you can search for spaces by location, or sign up your own creative space. The site includes artist studio space, photography studios, gallery and exhibition space, co-working space, hot desks, rehearsal and performance space, pop-up shops, rooftops, cinemas, theatres and non-traditional spaces to hire, lease, share or to occupy for a short period of time.

1. OSR INDUSTRY – ADELAIDE

OSR Industry, an extension to the vintage store One Small Room is also the new workspace of Kyrie Kohlhagen.

Kyrie is a graphic designer (among other things) who has designed some great retro logos and also writes the blog Retro Delights (if you haven’t seen her blog I recommend you check out how they have transformed their retro pad). You can read more about Kyrie’s new workspace here.
