Inside Finn Juhl’s Mid-Century Home in Denmark

Finn Juhl (1912-1989) was an architect, designer and one of the leading figures in the creation of Danish Design.

The photos below show his private home built in 1942. North of Copenhagen, his home is now open to the public (and I might be lucky enough to visit it next year – fingers crossed).

These photos also show his famous designs including love seat The Poet and The Chieftains Chair (second photo below by the open fire place) – furniture which Danes and foreign guests alike recognise from glossy magazine pages, television programmes, shop windows and from their own private homes.
